“I am the Blessed Virgin Mary, I have come to tell the world that God Exists…”

These were the first words spoken, when on June 25, 1981, in the tiny village of Medjugorje, located in Bosnia- Herzegovina, six Croatian children reported seeing an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Now, twenty-three years later, Our Lady is still reportedly appearing, giving a message of hope and peace to a troubled world.More than thirty million people from all over the world have now visited Medjugorje, and even Pope Paul II and the Roman Catholic Church have acknowledged that this has become the biggest religious event of our time.

“Dear children,

I rejoice with you and thank God for permitting me to be with you, to lead you and love you. Little children, peace is in danger and the family is under attack. I am calling you, little children: return to prayer in the family. Put sacred scripture in a visible place and read it every day. Love God above all that it may be good for you on earth. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer”.  Romans 12:12

“Rejoice” in this present time of chastisement and purification seems impossible. We may be wondering how we can rejoice in the midst of a fallen world marked with hatred, murder, division, and environmental destruction.

The truth is that we can rejoice! We have hope! Our Mother Mary is with us. God has permitted her to be with us for 43 years to lead and guide us along the path of life, conversion, and salvation. We can and should rejoice because our Mother Mary loves us!

Sadly, Our Lady tells us what we already know: life these days is without peace. Peace is in danger due to confusion and fear. Many people skip their daily time with Jesus. When we spend time reading the Word, praying and thinking about the Lord, and talking to God we reap incredible peace.

When we are close to Jesus our security increases and we have the confidence that life will not defeat us. Our God is in control, and He never leaves us. It is difficult to maintain peace in our hearts and in our family when sin and godlessness prevail in our world.

We need to overcome family conflicts and bring prayer into our family life. Begin to daily read the Word of God together as family.

Finally, Our Lady leads us to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. She leads us to the love of God! Every day we should ask our God to envelope us in the light of His love and spend the rest of our day loving God with our whole heart, mind, and soul. Only in love – love of God, neighbor, and self will life on earth be good and overcome the darkness that permeates life in these times.

“May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you”. Thess. 3:16

“Dear children, in this time of grace, I am calling you to prayer with the heart. Little children, create prayer groups where you will encourage each other to the good and grow in joy. Little children, you are still far away. That is why continue to convert anew and choose the way of holiness and hope so that God may give you peace in abundance. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

“Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:19-20)

Our Blessed Mother Mary asks us in this message to “create prayer groups”. Mary assures us that in groups of prayer warriors, we can be encouraged in this time of fear and sadness which is the result of evil. When we are together in prayer, we become one body in faith, hope, and love. We are able to see and feel the good in life, and together we find joy and gratitude that we are not alone in these treacherous times.

Our Lady reminds us that we are living in a time of grace and mercy; therefore, we need not be afraid. Jesus is with us! Our prayer becomes more than words, rather, an experience of Jesus. We must seek His presence so that our prayer comes from our heart.

Jesus offers us great promises. When we are praying together in groups, we may ask for anything – health of body and spirit, grace for further and deeper conversion and God the Father will hear us and bring us peace. Now Jesus adds the reason the Father will do what we ask in Jesus’ name. The key is not our personal power or merit. It is because when two or three are gathered in the name of Jesus, He becomes present with us. It is an assurance that He will, in some way, be present among us. It also explains why God the Father will grant these requests made by us, His disciples. It will be because Jesus in omnipresent – existing in all places, certainly, with us gathered in prayer. The fullness of joy comes only from the love of God.

In this age, as we carry out the weight of responsibility of responding to Mother Mary’s call, we will share in the joy of the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart!

Unfortunately, we are victims of these confusing and evil times; therefore, we are “still far away” as Our Lady reminds us. Through daily prayer, we must choose the “way of holiness and hope”.  We must continue to ask for the grace to persevere in our ongoing conversion.

Our path will not be easy. With Mary’s presence, guidance, protection, and grace, we will share in the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart. May God give us peace in abundance. Amen

“Dear Children! I am with you to tell you that I love you and to encourage you to prayer, because Satan is strong and every day his strength is stronger through those who have chosen death and hatred. You, little children, be prayer and my extended hands of love for all those who are in darkness and seek the light of our God.  Thank you for having responded to my call.”

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.”    (1 Peter 5:8-10)

This month Our Lady tells us what we need to hear; especially She reminds us that She loves us. In our human nature we often think that love is just an emotion. Our Mother takes us to a higher level. Now it is time to pray for perfect love — love that will change the world. Perfect love is sacrificial and purifying. Mary is preparing us and guiding us to perfect love.

Mary always leads us to prayer. We are living in serious, purifying times. Now our prayer must be transformative where God is working in our soul. Our time of prayer should be an encounter with Jesus and meditative. Ask Jesus for courage and strength in this time of evil. Finally, listen in silence to what Jesus tells us, and where He leads us. True faith is clinging to God.  Now is the time to cling to Jesus.

In this April message, Mary reminds us that Satan is strong and getting stronger. He has succeeded in leading many souls to choose death and hatred We are aware that evil is reigning around the world. We are hearing of wars and rumors of war, shootings, and murders almost daily. Evil has entered the political system. Persecution has entered our Churches. Families are being attacked and divided. Hateful, anti-Israel protests on college campuses are overrunning Universities. Jewish students are being attacked and persecuted. Trans gender, same sex marriages, sexual identity has become a choice. This has become legitimized and accepted. Yes, Satan’s strength has indeed become stronger every day!

Our Lady has prepared us for such a time as this. She asks us to be prayer. In other words: to become what we profess. She asks us to be Her extended hands. How can we do as She has asked? We must meet oppression with prayer, love, and truth. We must meet the lost souls who are searching for the light right where they are. We must lead them to truth and the love of God.

We, our Ladies’ prayer warriors, have been prepared for this mission. We can do nothing on our own. God is working through us. Nothing is impossible for God.

“Dear Children!
In this time of grace, pray with me for the good to win in you and around you. In a special way, little children, pray united with Jesus on His way of the Cross. Into your prayers put this humanity which wanders without God and without His love. Be prayer, be light, and be witnesses to all those whom you meet, little children, so that the merciful God may have mercy toward you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

When Jesus took the wine, He said “Now it is finished”. Then He bowed His head and delivered over His spirit.”  (John 19:30)
Lent is our great opportunity for the good to win in us. Our Lady’s message this month invites us to unite in prayer and follow Jesus on the way of the Cross. The way of the cross is a path of love. We love because God first loved us. Lent is the perfect time to pray for humanity who “wanders without God and without His love”. We are called to live the “way of Jesus”. We are called to bring substance into our prayer and to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.
We believe that God is discovered, encountered, and revealed to us by following the way of the cross. Lent is also the perfect opportunity to live sacrificially – a life of kindness, mercy, compassion, humility, selflessness, and forgiveness. Living this way leads to life abundant, life in its fullness, for ourselves, and for those who do not yet know God – those who “wander without God and without His love”.
If our Lenten journey is truly living this way of Jesus – the way of the cross – we become prayer, we shine with the light of Christ, and we become witnesses to all those we meet.
In this time of grace, let us resolve to living out the kingdom of God so that God’s mercy will be our Easter joy. Our Blessed Mother has called, formed, and guided us, her dear children, through her messages given in Medjugorje. She has lit our path in these darkened days. Now, she calls us to let our light shine. The time is now to shine our light to all whom we encounter through our faith, hope, and love.
Our Lady reminds us that this is the time of grace.  We cannot shine on our own.  Grace is often defined as unmerited favor or getting what we don’t deserve. By grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves. It is the gift of God. By grace we are what we are; that is Our Lady’s prayer warriors in these dark times.
Let us accept the grace God bestows on us. Through this undeserved gift, let us make an imprint on the hearts of all those we meet so that those whom we meet will come to know God and His love.  We are not alone in this mission.  Our Blessed Mother is always with us!
When the centurion and those guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and other things taking place, they were terrified and said, “Truly this was the Son of God”.    (Matthew 27:54)

“Dear Children! Pray and renew your heart so that the good which you have sown may bear the fruit of joy and oneness with God. Darnel has seized many hearts and they have become unfruitful; that is why you little children, be light, love, and my outstretched hands in this world which yearns for God who is love. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away”. Matthew 13:24, 25
In Our Lady’s message today, she said in part: “Darnel has seized many hearts and they have become unfruitful…”  Darnel is not a person. It is not Satan, and it is not a typographical error. Darnel is a weed that is known as the “mimic weed”. It is poisonous and can kill a person if ingested. It looks like wheat, and it is difficult to tell the difference between the two in the field. Historically, darnel has been known for its toxic properties. In Jesus’s time and place it was known as “tares”.
Darnel is mentioned in the Bible, most notably in the parable of the wheat and the tares in the Gospel of Matthew, symbolizing the coexistence of good and evil in the world. We can see there is a lot of confusion in the world. Many people today can’t tell the difference between good (wheat) and bad (weeds). Humanity is capable of great good and capable of harm as well. We have characters and personality traits that can keep us safe or lead us astray. We are wheat and we are darnel. Sometimes it’s hard to know which is which! We can’t be certain who to trust anymore and what is presented to us as good news doesn’t always turn out to be.
Our Lady is showing us how careful and alert we must be in these treacherous times! Our capacity to distinguish good from evil is under threat from a force that undermines the rock in which we stand; that of faith in Jesus Christ, and the Church which He found. How carefully we should seek God’s will in our prayers and the strength to do that will. She is calling us to remain alert so that the weeds of evil will not kill the good seeds that we have sown. We must remain firm in daily prayer and renewal of our heart. We must remain alert so that the rotten seeds of evil do not overcome the fruit of joy and our relationship with God.
Our Lady reminds us that evil, confusion, and error have “seized many hearts”. The weeds have overcome the seeds of spiritual life. Our Lady once again is asking us to be the light, and love for those around us in these times.
Our world, yearning for God’s love, has fallen into the dark pits set by Satan. We must pray and renew our hearts daily so that darnel will not choke the good seeds that we have sown in the hearts of our loved ones, family, and friends who were searching for love and purpose in their lives. Let us pray, fast, and sacrifice so that our crops will grow and bear much fruit for the Glory of God!
“Let them grow together until the harvest, then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning; but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13:30)

“Dear Children, may this time be a time of prayer.”

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Over 40 years ago, God chose Mary, Queen of Heaven and earth, to prepare the world for the purification to come. The preparation began with Her apparitions in Medjugorje. Through Mary’s messages to the seers, our Mother Mary has called all Her children to listen to Her and take Her messages to heart. She has asked us to “respond” to her messages” by becoming Her prayer warriors. Her messages have been a call to conversion through prayer. Mary led us step by step toward a life of holiness through prayer, fasting, and reception of the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist. She gave us the weapons to overcome the power and influence of evil and sin.

Mary’s messages have called us to open our hearts and begin to change our lives. Prayer is the center of Our Lady’s plan and is the most frequent message in Medjugorje. God grants special graces in prayer, especially prayer with the heart. Pray with love, trust, abandonment, and concentration. Prayer heals human souls. Without prayer, we cannot have an experience of God.  In the beginning of Her visits, Our Lady asked for the daily prayer of the Creed, followed by seven Our Fathers, Hail Mary’s and Glory Be.  Later, she wanted us to pray the Rosary including all the mysteries. She has told us through prayer that we will defeat Satan’s power and obtain peace and salvation. If we do not pray, we lose our center and our balance in our spiritual life.
Our Blessed Mother has come to us, called us, formed us, and guided us on the luminous path to peace in these perilous times in which we are living. She left not a stone unturned. She has said all that needs to be said to prepare us for the purification of the world and the coming of the Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart.
Our Lady’s call is urgent – a call to pray, pray, pray! In this time of darkness, Jesus has the last word:
Dear Blessed Mother, please remain with us. Continue to guide us along the path you have shown us. May our prayers lead us to perfect conversion to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May our prayers be the seed that grows the faith, hope and love of all whom we meet along the way.  Amen
